Our team recently attended a REHAU Conference at the Windsor Hotel in Melbourne, to learn all about architectural solutions, product development, new products and best practises.
REHAU is a supplier of uPVC frames that are specifically developed for the Australian market. Founded in Germany, REHAU recently celebrated its 40th anniversary of doing business in Australia.
uPVC (Unplasticised Polyvinylchloride) is a highly resilient material used extensively in the building industry worldwide. uPVC is the material of choice for windows and doors in the UK and Europe but currently only accounts for a small percentage of the Australian window market. uPVC is the perfect alternative to timber as it can stand up to the harsh Australian climate and as the joints are thermally welded it is resistant to salt corrosion and termites.
The uPVC formulation has been extensively tested and is specifically developed for the Australian climate, and our replacement windows provide higher levels of UV resistance: up to 180kcal/cm/year.
The uPVC frames come in a choice of 5 colours with the flexibility to combine different internal and external window colour finishes.
There are many benefits of uPVC including:
> Low maintenance
> Long lasting
> Excellent thermal and acoustic insulation
> Flame retardant
> Environmentally friendly
